Ideal candidate would have experience in the following:
- Setup and configure SCADA software and hardware
- Perform factory functional testing of programmed control systems, including PLCs, HMI, and SCADA
- Develop engineered solutions and implements solutions to resolve issues
- Modify PLC and HMI applications in the field
- Writes own trip reports and provides daily work reports
- Ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices
- Document and track progress of projects and report any issues to department manager
- Troubleshoot control system control problems; implements software and hardware solutions to resolve problems
- Understand and assess problems and determine the appropriate means of solution
- Recommend material and process specifications, utilize engineering tools to solve problems
- Provide on-site training when needed for new hires
- Assess results for application, validity, and conformance to specifications
- Interface effectively with other staff on multi-disciplinary projects
- Mentor and train subordinate employees on related tasks
- Assist in the establishment of department process and procedures
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Experience:
At least 5 years’ experience as an automation, instrumentation, or process controls technician or field engineer. A 2 year associates degree in Industrial Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation, or Process Controls is preferred.
